How it plays
Akropolis builds a city from three-hex tiles. Choose from the construction site, paying stones according to a tile’s position, then add it to your city. You can expand on the table or build upward, provided an upper tile has support and spans at least two tiles beneath it.
Covering quarries supplies stones for later drafting. Covering another construction removes its contribution, so building higher trades an existing benefit for a new arrangement. District types have different scoring conditions, and plazas multiply the value of their matching districts. Height increases the value of eligible districts.
Decisions you’ll make
Check whether your city has the plaza stars needed to make a district type worthwhile. A large collection of districts cannot score through a multiplier of zero.
Compare a higher placement with the districts or plazas it hides. Covering a quarry can fund a later choice, while covering a useful scoring hex sacrifices something already working.
