How it plays
Your bean cards stay in the order you receive them. On your turn, plant the front card, then reveal two cards for trading. Each field holds only one bean type, so a compulsory planting can force you to harvest an existing crop before it reaches a better payout.
Trade revealed cards and cards from your hand with the active player, or offer an agreed gift. Received beans must be planted rather than saved in hand. After several trips through the draw pile, the player with the most money from harvested beans wins.
Decisions you’ll make
A trade can solve two different problems: add beans to a valuable crop and remove an inconvenient card from the front of your hand. A generous-looking offer may therefore suit both players.
Check the next harvest threshold before clearing a field. One extra bean can change the return, but keeping that crop occupies space needed for incoming trades.
Learning the game
Moderate: the turn has four phases, and planting obligations and harvest restrictions matter during negotiations.
