How it plays
In boop., each turn adds a kitten or an available cat to an empty square on the bed. The new piece pushes unblocked neighboring pieces one space away, including diagonally. Those pushed pieces do not start another chain of pushes, and pieces can be pushed off the edge back into their owner’s supply.
Three kittens in a line graduate into cats: remove the kittens and add cats to your supply for later placement. Cats resist a kitten’s push, while cats can push both kinds of piece. After all pushes finish, three cats in a row wins; ending a turn with all eight of your cats on the bed is another route to victory.
Decisions you’ll make
Judge the position after the pushes, not just the square where you place your piece. Your move can improve an opposing line while disrupting your own.
Choose whether to create a graduating line now or preserve pieces on the bed. Growing your cat supply changes which future placements can dislodge opposing pieces.
