How it plays
Take turns revealing a hexagonal tile and adding it to the same landscape. Streams and railway tracks must continue correctly across touching edges; forests, grain fields, and villages need not match every neighbouring edge.
Task markers ask for a connected feature containing an exact number of tiles. Completing tasks scores points and brings new tasks into play. Long tracks and streams, plus flags in closed territories, offer other scoring opportunities.
Decisions you’ll make
Leave enough open edges for unfinished tasks. Extending one territory can complete a marker, but merging it with another may make a different task too large to finish.
Compare the immediate task score with the shape of the whole map. A convenient placement may close a route or consume the space where a future stream or track could connect.
Learning the game
Light: teach the few edge-matching rules and exact-size tasks; campaign additions introduce further rules gradually.
