How it plays
One player tries to identify a mystery word that everyone else can see. The clue-givers each write a word privately, then compare their answers before showing anything to the guesser. Identical clues are removed, including related forms such as singulars and plurals.
The remaining clues must do the job without extra explanation. The guesser can make one attempt or pass. A wrong answer costs the current card and another card, so guessing is not always better than admitting uncertainty.
Decisions you’ll make
An obvious clue is easy to understand but likely to match someone else’s. A less obvious connection may survive cancellation yet leave the guesser with nothing useful. Think about the other clue-givers as well as the target word.
