How it plays
Meadow uses numbered path tokens to select cards from a shared display. Place a token in an open notch beside the board, count along its row or column, and take the indicated card. You may then play a card from your hand. That notch stays occupied for the round, changing other players’ access.
Your meadow grows in columns of ground and observation cards. Playing an observation requires visible symbols already in your display, and its placement can cover a symbol you needed. New cards supply further symbols and points. Tokens also have an alternative use at the campfire, where special actions and shared goals compete with ordinary card selection.
Decisions you’ll make
Check which prerequisite a new observation will cover before playing it. Earning points now can remove access to another card still waiting in your hand.
Keep track of your remaining token numbers and available notches. A desirable card may become unreachable through the approach you expected to use.
