How it plays
Choose among the three patches ahead of the neutral marker, pay the button cost, fit the patch onto your quilt, and advance by its time cost. You can instead move ahead of your opponent on the time track to earn buttons. The player behind on that track takes the next turn.
Patches bearing buttons increase the income you receive when crossing an income space. Empty quilt squares cost points at the end, while saved buttons contribute to your score. Buying a patch can therefore improve coverage and future income while reducing how many purchasing turns you have left.
Decisions you’ll make
Check that a patch fits without leaving awkward gaps before paying for it.
Compare the extra income on a patch with the number of income spaces you can still cross.
