How it plays

Point City fills a four-by-four market with double-sided cards showing resources or buildings. Each turn, draft two orthogonally adjacent cards, or take the top two cards of the draw pile. Resources enter your supply; a building can be selected only if you can pay for it. You must be able to take both chosen cards.

Buildings can supply permanent resources for future turns, printed points or a civic token with an end-game scoring condition. After drafting, empty market spaces refill with the opposite face to the card removed. Taking resources therefore introduces buildings, while buying buildings brings more resources into view.

Decisions you’ll make

Check both adjacency and affordability before committing to a pair. A useful card beside an unaffordable building may not be available through the market this turn.

Compare spending resource cards now with building production that reduces later costs. A newly built resource starts helping on future turns, and each permanent resource can be used only once per turn.
