How it plays
Point Salad uses double-sided cards: one side shows a vegetable, the other a scoring condition. On your turn, take either one scoring card from the pile tops or two vegetables from the market. Each scoring card you collect applies to your vegetables at the end, so players build different reasons to want the same produce.
Refilling the vegetable market also reveals new scoring cards on the piles. A desirable vegetable can therefore disappear before your next turn, and the available scoring opportunities keep changing. Once per turn, you may also turn one of your scoring cards into its vegetable; that conversion cannot be reversed.
Decisions you’ll make
Compare adding vegetables with adding another way to score the ones you already own. Several compatible scoring cards can reward the same vegetable repeatedly.
Check penalties as well as rewards before taking a scoring card. A card that rewards peppers may make part of your existing collection costly.
