How it plays
On a standard turn in Santorini, move one worker to a neighboring space, then build beside that worker. Workers can climb one level, descend further, and move across the same height. Buildings are shared opportunities: a tower you raise may help an opposing worker as much as your own.
Normally, moving up onto the third level wins. A dome prevents entry, so building can create a future winning step or remove a dangerous one. God powers change particular permissions or victory conditions; their wording matters alongside the ordinary move-and-build sequence.
Decisions you’ll make
Before raising a second level, check which workers can reach it next. Giving an opponent a stepping stone can be more consequential than improving your own position.
Compare blocking a threat with moving a worker into a position that creates another one. Your build must follow the worker you actually move.
Learning the game
Light: teach ordinary movement and building first, then the selected god powers and player-count mode.
