How it plays
Your hand arrives in a fixed order, with two possible numbers on each card. Choose which way to hold the whole hand before play starts; after that, you cannot rearrange it. Play adjacent cards as matching numbers or a consecutive run to beat the set on the table.
Alternatively, scout an end card from that set and insert it anywhere in your hand, either way up. Its owner earns a point. Beating a set captures its cards as points; cards left in hand normally count against you when the round ends.
Decisions you’ll make
Look beyond the size of the set you can play now. Removing a single awkward card may connect a much better combination for a later turn.
The once-per-round Scout & Show action lets you recruit a card and immediately use the improved hand. Decide whether that opening justifies spending your only combined action.
Learning the game
Light: hand order is unusual, but the three actions and set ranking are brief.
