How it plays
Each spirit chooses growth, gains energy, and commits power cards within its card-play limit. Adding presence expands reach and uncovers improvements on the spirit’s tracks. Different spirits have their own powers and development choices.
Fast powers resolve before the invaders act; slow powers resolve afterward. Invaders ravage, build, and explore according to terrain cards. Generating fear earns effects and eventually reduces the invader presence you must eliminate to win.
Decisions you’ll make
Prevent a build now or prepare to destroy what it creates later. Moving a lone explorer before construction can save future work, while defending a ravage can preserve the land and let surviving Dahan counterattack.
Balance stronger future turns against immediate threats. Reclaiming spent cards restores useful tools, but other growth options may add presence or powers. Coordinate across spirits rather than assigning every player an isolated patch of island.
