How it plays
Two teams compete to locate a hidden target on a dial. A clue-giver sees its position between two opposing concepts and names something that belongs at that point on the spectrum. Their teammates discuss the clue and turn the dial, while the clue-giver stays silent.
The opposing team predicts whether the target lies left or right of the final dial position. Then reveal it: the active team scores for accuracy, and its opponents can score for a correct prediction unless the dial hit the central four-point area. Teams race to ten points.
Decisions you’ll make
Choose a clue with enough shared meaning that your team can judge its degree, not merely its general direction. Once the discussion starts, you cannot clarify which interpretation you intended.
As a guessing team, compare the reasons behind different proposed positions before settling the dial. Agreement about the clue’s subject does not guarantee agreement about where it belongs.
Learning the game
Light: the dial and reveal are simple; clue restrictions keep the challenge from becoming a numerical code.
