Your evidence concerns what the culprit is wearing. A physical clue decoder checks each discovered item against a hidden thief card, helping everyone compare the fox suspects and eliminate those who do not fit.
How it plays
Before rolling, choose to search for clues or reveal suspects. You have up to three rolls to get the matching symbol on all three dice, keeping successful dice aside.
A successful search lets your detective move toward clue spaces; reaching one earns an item check in the decoder. Revealing suspects turns over two fox cards so you can compare them against earlier clues.
Failure moves the fox three spaces toward its hole. Identify the culprit together before it escapes; a wrong accusation loses the game.
Decisions you’ll make
More clues help distinguish foxes, but unrevealed suspects still need checking. Decide whether another item check or two new faces will help the investigation more.
Learning the game
Turns use two action choices and a repeated dice procedure. Before playing, demonstrate how both a present item and an absent item eliminate suspects.
